Blizzard is urging players not to make travel plans yet, but individuals hoping to attend the convention this year should keep their eyes open for imminent updates. Last year BlizzCon was announced on February 17, but the convention was held on the weekend of August 21st. The announcement may come later this year if the convention is in fact being held in October.
Blizzard refuses to confirm or deny the validity of this information, but the convention center has apparently indicated that it is almost a sure thing.
